Working principle of pressure gauge

 

The general pressure gauge belongs to the local indication type pressure gauge, the local display pressure size, does not have the remote transmission display, adjustment function. In the process of industrial process control and technical measurement, the general pressure gauges are more and more widely used because of their high mechanical strength, easy production and installation of simple readings.


General pressure gauges are suitable for measuring the pressure and vacuum of liquids, gases or vapors without explosion, crystallization or solidification and without corrosion to copper and copper alloys.


The pressure gauge converts the elastic deformation of the Bourdon tube, a sensitive element in the gauge, into a rotational motion by means of a conversion mechanism in the movement of the gauge, causing the pointer to deflect to indicate the pressure.


Spring officer is divided into C - type pipe, coil spring pipe, spiral pipe and other types. The cold hardening material (copper alloy is commonly used) has high plasticity under annealing, and high elasticity and strength can be obtained after cold hardening and qualitative treatment.


The section of the C-type Bourdon tube is elliptical. The pressure of the measuring medium ACTS on the inside of the bourdon tube, so that the elliptical section of the Bourdon tube tends to be round. Due to the small deformation of bourdon tube, a certain ring stress is formed. This ring stress will cause the bourdon tube to extend outward. Because the elastic bourdon tube head is not fixed, it will produce a small deformation.
