Operating principle of back pressure valve

 

The rated pressure of the back pressure valve can be adjusted, generally by adjusting the top of the spring rod, so as to adjust the length of the spring to achieve.


In outlet lines, the back pressure valve should be used with the pulsating damper to absorb the peak flow between the pump and the back pressure valve. Without pulsating dampers, the backpressure valve will open and close quickly with each pump stroke. With a pulsating damper, the back pressure valve oscillates in half open and half closed positions, thus reducing the speed of wear of the back pressure valve.


For high flow pumps with long and thin outlet lines, the backpressure valve should be installed near the filling point to reduce the siphon trend. When conveying medium containing suspended solids, a tee (or tee) with pipe plug shall be installed at the inlet end of the backpressure valve to enable the line to be cleaned without disassembly.


The backpressure valve is only a kind of pipe element, which can only be used in combination with other pipe elements (such as pulsating damper, safety valve, check valve, globe valve and strainer) for maximum effectiveness. When selecting the back pressure valve, the parameters and data must be determined:


1. The diameter of the required backpressure valve is generally the diameter of the pump outlet;


2. Pressure range to be set;


3, what material is needed, for this, generally from the nature and temperature of the fluid transport. Conventional materials: PVC, 304, 316, 316L stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.


4, the import and export connection, the general requirements are less. However, in some systems, such as food and drinking water production systems, some piping may require special connections. Common connections are internal threads, flanges, hose couplings.
